How to Save Places from TikTok on iPhone

3 min de lecturePar someday

Save restaurants, cafes, and trip spots from TikTok into organised place collections on iPhone — share sheet steps and note tips.

You find a perfect dinner spot on TikTok, tell yourself you will remember it, and three scrolls later it is gone. The place still exists. The recommendation — dish, vibe, tip — does not.

This is how to save places from TikTok on iPhone into organised collections so restaurants, cafes, and trip ideas survive past the For You page.

Why TikTok saves and Favorites are not enough for places

TikTok saves answer one question well: Can I find this video again inside TikTok?

They are weak when you need:

  • Which saved places were for our trip?
  • What dish did everyone say to order?
  • A list you can share without forwarding five videos
  • A shortlist you can open while walking, not while rewatching reels

Saves are video-first. Place collections are plan-first.

Save a TikTok place with the iOS share sheet

On iPhone, the fastest workflow is still the share sheet:

  1. Open the TikTok video for the place you want to keep.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Choose someday (add it to share Favourites if you do this often).
  4. Pick or create a collection — Tokyo 2026, Date night ideas, Coffee near home.
  5. Add a quick note while the audio is still in your head: dish, wait tips, who recommended it.

Capture comments and "drop the location" tips

Half the useful detail lives in the comments:

  • Address or area nicknames
  • What not to order
  • Best time to avoid a queue

If a comment is the reason you care, copy the useful line into the note when you import the video. TikTok will not surface that comment when you are standing hungry three weeks later.

Build collections that match how you plan

Avoid one giant "TikTok places" dump. Prefer:

  • Trip — city + year or trip name
  • Intent — date nights, solo brunch, rainy day
  • People — places a specific friend always sends

Collections mirror the question you will ask later: what should we do on this trip? not what did I save in March?

TikTok → collection → Maps (the right order)

  1. Discover on TikTok.
  2. Save to a collection with context.
  3. Navigate in Google Maps only when you are going.

If you star everything in Maps first, you lose the dish tip and source video almost immediately. Use Maps for directions, not as the only archive of social discovery.

When to leave something in TikTok saves only

Not every video needs a permanent place record:

  • Pure entertainment, no real plan to visit
  • Closed or blocked for you
  • Duplicate of a place already in a collection

Move video → collection only when future-you would suffer if it disappeared.

What to do next

If TikTok is where you discover places, someday is where those places stay searchable when you are ready to go.
